Changes at the Surgery
Dr Ali (GP Registrar) is enjoying his attachment in general practice and has recently become a very proud father. Both he and Dr Zubair (our other GP Registrar) will complete this phase of their training at the beginning of August. Dr Tahir will join the Practice then for a 12-month attachment. It's not just “changes” - it's more a case of ”all change”! Ann Wells (dispenser) has recently retired from the Practice after 20 years with us. She started as a receptionist and then trained as a dispenser. She had boundless energy and enthusiasm and will be greatly missed. Louise Wilcox is following Ann's example. She joined us a receptionist and is now training as a dispenser and studying for the necessary qualification. This left a vacancy in reception but the surgery are delighted to announce that Ann-Marie Hyde was successful at interview, trained during April, and has now joined the team properly. We welcome her warmly. The Partners have adopted a new weekly timetable. Full-time Partners will work their clinical consulting week over four days. Drs Little, Lowry, Mann, Noble, and Chorbadjian will continue their existing pattern of surgeries.
March was a particularly busy month as it marks the end of the NHS year. The Surgery had to submit countless reports, files, and folders to the Primary Care Trust which they are now working through to determine how successful the Surgery has been. The PCT then report to the Department of Health.
